Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan (further - Committee) was founded on January, 25, 2008 in accordance with Order of RT President № УП-29 “About foundation of Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Chairman of the Committee is R.M. Haziev .

Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan is a body of executive power of the Republic of Tatarstan in the sphere of state regulation of tariffs which is the part of RT executive power bodies system and implements state regulation of prices (tariffs, extra charges, e.t.c) for goods (works, services) on the territory of Tatarstan, controls their use according to acting legislation.

Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan fulfils state regulation of tariffs, extra charges, e.t.c. :

• in the sphere of state regulation of power and heat supply;
• in the sphere of state regulation of prices and tariffs for gas supply;
• in the sphere of state regulation of organizations of communal complex;
• in the sphere of state regulation of transport;
• in social sphere of state regulation;
• in the sphere of tariff regulation of forestry;
• in the sphere of land and property relations;

Fulfils other authorities connected with state regulation of tariffs and prices fixed by legislations of Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.

Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan within its competence:

• provides realization of unified price and tariff policy on the territory of Tatarstan;
• creates economic incentives, ensuring use of resource-saving technologies in production processes;
• forms competitive environment in electric power complex to increase efficiency of its functioning and optimization of tariffs;
• takes part in formation of state policy in resource-saving;
• defines strategic directions of activity in the sphere of resource-saving;
• creates economic mechanisms which provide use of resource-saving technologies in production processes and communal housing sphere;
• creates mechanisms of coordination of balance of economic interests of suppliers (executives) and consumers of regulated kinds of goods and services.
